This mid-century house in Solihull had some original teak parquet flooring in the front room which required restoration.
As is quite frequent in these properties, a working fire was no longer required and there were some areas of the parquet which needed filling in because of previous damage
We removed the existing border around the room to use to infill the areas of concern. We then installed a reclaimed teak in the border as well as creating a custom checkerboard pattern in the hearth.
This was then sanded, filled and lacquered to return this decades-old floor back to its youthful appearance.
