Project Brief

It was a pleasure working with this client for the second time in their mid-century home. Like many of our clients, they are very eco-conscious and we initially had discussions about a floor restoration.
However, once the carpet was removed, we found boards of different ages and widths, so getting a consistent look would have been more difficult.

Solution

The client decided upon a bamboo floor which is very popular for its eco-credentials.

We levelled the existing boards; installed plywood and then glued the bamboo planks down to the subfloor which worked really well in this era of building.
